As we remain confined to our homes so that others do not expose us to the highly contagious CORONA VIRUS, I know that we are a people that will not let this VIRUS DEFEAT US. As we practice better hand washing and sanitizing practices, keeping social distance and avoiding close quarters, we are also a people that need to get some fresh air so that we can clear our minds and keep our bodies active.
Don’t let this virus confine our freedom and our choice to stay healthy.
Although we might be facing some fear, anxiety, frustration, anger, and boredom, we will not give in.
We will conquer the virus and the affects that it can have on us, if we let it.
The weapons that we will use to conquer this deadly pandemic are
FAITH, HOPE, and TRUST IN OUR GOD, MUTUAL SUPPORT, UNDERSTANDING, COMPASSION, and RESPECT FOR OTHERS, and FAITH IN OUR SELF.
I invite and challenge you, and those in your home, CHILDREN ARE WELCOME,
To step outside of your four walls; To your backyard, on your front step, in your neighborhood,
OR WITH ME (KEEPING SOCIAL DISTANCE)
To walk, talk and pray for @30 MINUTES.
BEGINNING NEXT MONDAY, APRIL 6TH AT 12 NOON,
and continuing every Monday through Friday at Noon
We can walk and talk about how we are positively coping, and get helpful ideas from others.
We can offer up prayers of gratitude, hope, trust and personal needs,
We can remind ourselves that we are not alone, that we are here for each other collectively,
and how we are called to support, encourage, and be available to each other
in whatever form of communication that works: prayer, phone, email, text,…..
If you will be by yourself, give yourself the gift or reflecting on how well you are coping, and
consider asking God for the grace to stay focused on new life that will come because
you will not be defeated on conquered, but you will continue to conquer.
No matter where you choose to participate on those days, WEAR A WHITE RIBBON, OR SOMETHING WHITE WITH A TOUCH OF BLUE. WHITE in honor of the medical professionals on the front line risking their lives for the health and well-being of all of us,and BLUE for the new life that we will all experience and celebrate very soon.
Email me a photo if you want.
If you choose to walk in your neighborhood by yourself, or with others, or just sit outside, take the time to remind yourself, and those you are with, that you are all stronger than you think, that you will not be defeated by this pandemic,
with the prayer, support and encouragement of each other, we will get through this, stronger than we were.
